PHOEBE INGLEBY
ABOUT
I’m a London-based art writer with experience across commercial galleries, curatorial projects, and art publications. I currently work at Ben Brown Fine Arts, an international post-war and contemporary gallery with spaces in London, Hong Kong, and New York, where I contribute to exhibitions, sales, and digital strategy.

I hold a History of Art degree from the University of Cambridge and combine academic rigour with practical experience in research, interpretation, and curatorial work. My writing spans essays, criticism, and promotional content, alongside roles in artist liaison, client relations, and exhibition planning.

Outside of my gallery work, I write independently, producing critical and research-led texts that are clear, engaging, and driven by a genuine interest in art’s impact on culture and society.
SKILLS & EXPERTISE
-
Research My research is driven by critical analysis and a close engagement with both primary and secondary sources. My experience includes archival work, comparative study and interdisciplinary inquiry to inform curatorial, editorial and academic projects.
-
Curation I have experience supporting exhibitions from concept to delivery – developing curatorial frameworks, spatial design, coordinating production and contributing to catalogues. I work collaboratively with artists, curators, and production teams to ensure ideas are realised with clarity and impact.
-
Writing I produce precise and engaging written material for a range of contexts, including exhibition texts, academic publications, catalogues, press materials and digital platforms.
